Mr Ramez Bassari (Upper GI, Bariatric & General Surgeon)
Mr Bassari completed his medical degree in 2004 at the University of Auckland. This was followed by specialist surgical training (FRACS) which he completed in 2012.

He pursued further sub-specialist training in the fields of Bariatric/Metabolic and Upper Gastrointestinal surgery for the next 4 years. This included 2 years through the competitive ANZGOSA training scheme. He is involved with the training of surgical registrars (future surgeons) and attends regular scientific meetings both nationally and internationally, in order to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.

Mr Yahya Al-Habba (Upper GI, Bariatric & General Surgeon)
Yahya started basic surgical training in Iraq. There, he worked in one of the busiest trauma centres. Then, Yahya moved to UAE then UK to finish his basic surgical training and obtain Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCSI). Later, he moved to Australia to pursue his advanced surgical training through Austin Health.

He finished his advanced surgical training and obtained Fellowship of Australasian College of Surgeon (FRACS) through Austin Health.
After that, Yahya took a fellowship year in the Acute Surgical Unit at Eastern Health in Victoria. Then, he did further 3 years of subspecialty training in upper gastrointestinal tract surgery and interventional endoscopy through Australia and New Zealand Gastro-oesophageal Surgical Association (ANZGOSA) training program.
Through his ANZGOSA training, he rotated through a few busy cancer centers in WA and Victoria. Recently, he has become an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeon (ACS).

Miss Ingra Bringmann (General Surgeon)
Bariatrics is a medical specialty that offers treatment for those who are overweight. This may include a programme of diet and nutrition, exercise, behaviour modification, lifestyle changes and appropriate medications. Bariatric surgery (obesity surgery or weight loss surgery) includes a variety of procedures performed on people who are obese (severely overweight).

The main aim is to reduce the size of the stomach to help achieve long-term weight loss. Three key procedures are: reducing the size of the stomach with an implanted band (gastric banding); removing part of the stomach (sleeve gastrectomy or biliopancreatic diversion); or by redirecting the small intestines to a small stomach pouch (gastric bypass).

Adel Morsi is a fully qualified, Australian trained plastic surgeon with more than 16 years of experience in cosmetic surgery with strong focus on breast surgery ( breast reduction, breast augmentation, breast lift ( mastopexy), breast reconstruction and body contouring ( abdominoplasty, circumferential abdominoplasty, thigh and arm reduction , body sculpturing after Bariatric surgery

He is proud to have provided his expertise and services over the years to many massive weight loss patients after Bariatric surgery performed by Professor Peter Nottle and other surgeons.
After completing his plastic surgery training in Egypt, he moved to Australia in 1997 and started his extensive and advanced training in plastic surgery, and was awarded the Australian Plastic surgery fellowship in 2006. He started his private practice in 2007, in addition to his public appointments at The Alfred Hospital where he teaches plastic surgery junior doctors and provides services in the area of microsurgery, breast reconstruction, hand and skin cancer surgery
He has published many papers including new techniques and presented at various international conferences

Dr Eric Daniel (Colo-Rectal Surgeon)
Mr Daniel is a specialist Colorectal Surgeon. Originally from Tasmania, he graduated from University of Tasmania in 2006 with First Class Honours and completed his training in General Surgery in Melbourne in 2013.

He subsequently entered four years of sub-specialist training to become a Colorectal Surgeon, a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
He has a public appointment at Northern Health, and private appointments at Epworth Freemasons and John Fawkner Hospital.
His sub-speciality interest includes diseases of the small and large bowel, bowel cancer, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, proctology, robotic and minimally invasive surgery.

Mr Jason Winnett (General Surgeon)
Jason Winnett is a highly regarded surgeon based in Melbourne, Australia, who is not only known for his expertise in his field but also for his exceptional interpersonal skills and bedside manner.

He founded the Winnett Specialist Group in 2010 and specialises in various surgical procedures including bariatric surgery, upper GI surgery, Hepatobiliary surgery, Colorectal and Endoscopy. With over 20 years of experience, Jason has successfully treated thousands of patients with obesity and weight-related issues and has performed over 2,500 weight-loss surgical procedures and 20,000 endoscopic procedures.
What distinguishes Mr Winnett from others is his compassionate approach to patient care. He takes the time to understand his patients, their lifestyles and backgrounds which helps him to provide more personalised and empathetic care. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a Medical Director of the Hobsons Healthcare Facilities, a member of several medical associations and has appointments to the Medical Advisory Boards of the Western Private and Epworth Freemason Hospitals.
Jason’s commitment to his patients’ wellbeing extends beyond the surgical procedure itself, as he understands the emotional challenges that individuals may face when considering surgery. His goal is to make the entire process as comfortable and reassuring as possible, giving his patients the confidence that they have made the right decision for their health and wellbeing.

Dr Alayne Moreira (Breast & General Surgeon)
Dr Moreira completed General Surgical Training in 2020 at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, followed by completion of subspecialty training in breast surgery through the Breast Surgery (BSANZ) Fellowship program in 2023. She has completed a Masters degree in Advanced Surgery (Breast Surgery) through the University of Sydney.

Dr Hinna Azher (Breast & General Surgeon)
Dr Hinna Azher is a Melbourne-based consultant surgeon specialising in breast and general surgery.
She obtained her medical degree at Deakin University and completed her general surgery training through The Western Health Network. Hinna undertook further subspecialty training with a two-year fellowship through Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ), in addition to a 12-month fellowship in Endocrine and General Surgery at Western Health.

Mr Seth Delpachitra (Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon)
Associate Professor Seth Delpachitra is a highly accomplished oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a distinguished career spanning clinical practice, academic leadership, and military service. Completing his rigorous dual-qualification training across Melbourne’s leading tertiary hospitals, he further honed his expertise through prestigious fellowships in craniofacial trauma, paediatric maxillofacial surgery, and corrective jaw surgery.

Specifically, he completed fellowships in facial trauma and orthognathics at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and a paediatric and craniofacial fellowship through Epworth Hospital, in addition to subspecialty fellowships in craniofacial trauma, paediatric maxillofacial surgery, and corrective jaw surgery.
Currently, A/Prof Delpachitra serves as the Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM), demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field and fostering excellence in patient care. He also holds consultant surgeon positions at Barwon Health in Geelong and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, ensuring access to his expertise for patients across Victoria. His areas of interest include dental implants, bone grafts, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, and facial trauma surgery.

Mr Jamie Kearsley (Urologist)
Mr. Jamie Kearsley graduated M.B., B.S. from The University of Melbourne in 1992, following his resident training at St Vincent’s Hospital he undertook two years of general surgical training before completing his urology training at Geelong, Royal Melbourne and St. Vincent’s Hospitals.

After completing a fellowship at Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital, specialising in laparoscopic ablative and donor nephrectomy, he returned to Melbourne in 2004 and commenced private practice at Epworth Richmond with a public appointment at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and, more recently, Werribee Mercy Hospital.
His special interests include open, laparoscopic and robotic assisted surgery for benign and malignant upper tract conditions, minimally invasive surgery for stone disease and bladder outlet obstruction, bladder cancer and abnormal placentation.

Dr Mariolyn Raj (Urologist)
Dr Mariolyn Raj is a Urologist with over a decade of experience in treating men & women with Urological issues.
She offers personalised care in the areas of: Kidney Stones, Prostate cancer & prostate biopsy, bladder cancer, prostate enlargement including Urolift treatment for BPH, renal cancer, overactive bladder & much more.

Dr Annie Fung (Nephrologist)
Dr Annie Fung is an experienced Nephrologist with expertise in the management of kidney diseases, hypertension, dialysis, transplant medicine and renal supportive care. She graduated from The University of Melbourne and completed Renal Medicine Specialist Training at The Alfred.

She worked as a Consultant Nephrologist at The Alfred from 2008-2017 and successfully led the integration of Palliative Care and Advanced Care Planning into Renal Service.
Dr Fung has been heavily involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Currently she is working at Box Hill Hospital as a Consultant Physician and an RACP Education Supervisor. She has consistently received numerous awards and nominations, including “Consultant of the year” and multiple teaching wards across Alfred Health and Eastern Health.
Dr Fung speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and some Indonesian.

Dr Kirk Kee (Respiratory & Sleep Physician)
Dr Kirk Kee is a respiratory and sleep physician with appointments at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Alfred Hospital and The Baker Institute. He has private rooms in Williamstown (Hobson’s Bay Specialist Centre) and Prahran (Baker Specialist Clinics).

He has a special interest in sleep apnoea in patients with medical co-morbidity (heart failure, diabetes, hypertension) as well as those being considered for bariatric surgery.
He is currently a co-investigator on an NHMRC funded study looking at the effects of bariatric surgery on sleep physiology. He has presented his research at both a national and international level and has numerous publications in the fields of sleep and respiratory medicine. He has advised on government policy for both the Department of Human Services and the State Wide Equipment Program.

Dr Cathy Foley (Specialist Weight Management General Practitioner)
Dr Foley has been working in lap band surgery care and obesity management since 2008, partnering with patients to improve diabetes control, energy levels, breathing problems, fertility, knee and foot pain, and mental health. She liaises with our surgical team, and provides education, encouragement and ongoing support to help patients achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

Dr Chun Guan Chong (Specialist Weight Management General Practitioner)
Dr Chun Guan Chong graduated from University of Melbourne in 2007. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Chong has extensive surgical experience having completed years of surgical training before transitioned to General Practice. He has special interest in weight management, minor surgical procedures and skin cancer surgery. Dr. Chong also works as a bariatrician and assists in Bariatric and Robotic surgery in multiple private hospitals. Dr Chong also fluent in Mandarin and Malay. Outside of medicine, he enjoys singing, esports and spending time with his wife and 3 children.

Psychological Services Group (Mental Health)
Psychological Services Group is a small team of experienced and empathic psychologists, passionate about assisting clients overcome various mental health concerns (such as depression and anxiety), as well as supporting them in developing healthier self-esteem, more satisfying interpersonal relationships, and more fulfilling life experiences. In addition, two of our therapists work in the specialised area of providing assessment and support to bariatric patients. We work with individuals, couples, families, and groups – children, adolescents, and adults.

Hannah Wilson (Nutrition/Dietitian)
Hannah is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with specialist skills in the nutritional management of weight loss surgery, chronic disease management, gut concerns including IBS, and Women’s health conditions. Hannah utilises evidence-based strategies that support lasting health behaviour change and a positive relationship with food. No restrictive, short-term diets here! Hannah thoroughly enjoys getting to know her clients and working collaboratively with them to make their health and nutrition goals a reality.

Ashleigh Gale (Nutrition/Dietitian)
Ashleigh is an Accredited Practising Dietitian. Her main areas of interest include weight loss surgery, weight management, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular health and gut related issues such as IBS. Ashleigh thrives on creating a friendly and positive environment during her consultations to help you feel motivated and comfortable. She works with her clients to present evidence based dietary and lifestyle changes that are both realistic, and goal orientated, so you can achieve the results you are looking for, and be supported along the way.
